Artix offers a package archive, identical in operation to the Arch Linux Archive, except for the ISO images.

Use cases:

  • Downgrade to a previous version of one package (latest version is broken, I want the second-to-last)
  • Restore all repo packages to a precise moment (entire system is broken, I want to go back 2 weeks ago)

It can be used exactly as described in the aforementioned Arch Wiki page, with the exception of the URL domain, either replacing the Server URL per repository in /etc/pacman.conf or, preferably, the Server URL in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist. Keep in mind pacman reads those configuration files top-to-bottom, ergo the Archive URLs must be placed first.

For people utilizing Arch Linux repositories, it is highly recommended to also set the ALA URL in the respective Arch repositories of /etc/pacman.conf or /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist-arch, with the same date.

The Artix package archive can be accessed through the following URLs:
